2009 Green Garden Exchange: "Let's Grow Together!"
Roslindale Green & Clean invites the public to its fifth annual Green Garden Exchange, a fun and free event. The 2009 Green Garden Exchange will take place at The Emerald Society (click for map) in Roslindale on Saturday, April 11 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Representatives from the Southwest Boston Community Gardens will talk about getting community garden plots, Zipcar representatives will be available with information about using Zipcars for your gardening transportation needs, along with lots more exciting events, including talks about growing food, planting trees, and other topics.
Ribbon Cutting for Alexander the Great Park
Roslindale Green & Clean and The Greek Spirit Committee invite the public to a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Alexander the Great Park (click for map). The event will take place at noon on Sunday, May 17, in Roslindale Square. A reception will follow in St. Nectarios Hall.

Alexander the Great Park Wins Garden Contest
Alexander the Great Park tied for first in the Community Gardens Category of Mayor Menino's 2008 Citywide Garden Contest. The park was featured along with other contest winners in the Roslindale & West Roxbury Bulletin. Photos of the park and the awards ceremony can be seen at the City of Boston's Garden Contest site.

Roslindale Library Places in Garden Contest
The plantings at the Roslindale Branch Library won Third Place in the Community Gardens Category of Mayor Menino's 2006 Citywide Garden Contest. The Library plantings were RG&C's first project.
